Bob Barrow's prototype the BEARHAWK

It has been a life long dream of mine to build an airplane.  After many years of bouncing around different designs and plans, I came across the Bearhawk which satisfied nearly all of my requirements; scratch built, STOL and rough field capabilities, decent cruise and range, substantial useful load, roomy side by side seating, and preferably a tail dragger.  The Bearhawk is a scratch built original design by Bob Barrows with some pretty impressive specifications.  This site will chronicle my building progress which I optimistically hope will take around  4 years (best laid plans as they say).    Check back often for updates.  It is my hope that this site will help other builders as I have been helped by several other Bearhawk construction sites.  Feel free to e-mail any questions or comments.
