Current Flying Machine

Last year, I got the flying bug so bad, I couldn't stand it anymore.  I knew that I wouldn't be able to afford an airplane that would be able to get out of my 1200 foot strip, so I started looking at ultralites.  I finally settled on a weight shift trike.  This is a Klass Cruise model.  My daughter lives near Phoenix, so I had the trike delivered there, and went to visit my daughter over Cristmas.  While there, I got instruction, soloed, and flew nearly 40 hours in three weeks.  What a blast!  Talk about 'seat of the pants' flying.  You're somewhat at the mercy of cross winds, as there isn't a rudder.  Sure a kick anyway.  I trailered it home to Montana.

It has a 4 cylinder, 4 cycle Suzuki Geo engine cranking about 90 hp and sips 2-2.5 gals hr.

Talk about smooth!

If you've got the nerve, it will climb over 1500 fpm one up.  Seems like an impossible climb attitude though.

Landings come in at around 50 with stall at 40 or so.

The three blade Kiev prop is incredibly smooth!
